The First Issue was sold at the Post Offices in two different versions: cut-square (all P.O´s except Bakeu) or the VERY RARE CUT-ROUND issued exclusively by the postmaster of Bakeu. At this Post Office they were only sold such way. HEIMBÜCHLER RECORDS EIGHT OFF-COVER EXAMPLES OF THE NUMBER 1 WITH BAKEU SEPARATION, against more than 130 examples cut-square. It would make sense to catalogue separately both types of separations as they were officialy issued by the postmasters.
