CHINESE ARMY IN SIBERIA Russia 10 kop. cancelled "VLADIWOSTOK 2.1.19" on cover with senders mark "General Major K.S.Zchou Delegate of the Chinese Government to the Japanese Headquarters of the Siberian Army expedition" , send to the " Colonel de Magner local headquater of the army" with a censor marking of Vladivostok. The envelope includes a card from General Zhou with new year greetings. On 15 may 1918 China and Japan agreed to use Chinese troops, under Japanese direction, in Siberia against any Bolshevik threat. No Chinese field post offices are associated with these operations, Russian civil post offices were the normal means of sending mail . A VERY RARE COVER FROM THIS CHINESE EXPEDITION. A similar (but defective cover) sold for 6000 GBP in a Harmer´s of London 24.7.1997 sale.
